Another update

Hello. Welcome to another monthly update on the blog of the project Tales of Immortality.

We do not have much to show, the procedures are still ongoing, story is being reviewed, and written, the comic of Story of a Healer is being made: note that it will only start being presented as soon as a quarter of the first chapter has been converted into comic form.

But we have something to show, the concept image of the main characters of Story of a Healer: James Kendrick.

Next month, possibly, Magvên or more! Stick around!

Some changes and information...

We don't have many new things to share, besides reminding what we already began:
 - We created four stories that would connect every now and then and end in a final fifth tale;
 - We already began to write one of them (Story of a Healer), as the rest are being planned in terms of structure;
 - We decided to create languages to each one of those stories, languages which are told why they exist in their respective tales;
 - Besides this, Edro's Legends is going to be put out of "The One Hundred" collection for this reason: it cannot addapt itself to the collection's main structure, but still will remain within the project;

What new things we have to tell?
 - We are thinking of making an event to promote our group, where we plan to have stands, a live roleplay contest and much more;
 - Several curiosities, character looks and side stories are being made;
 - After being postphoned, the comic is being made;

We do not have much more to tell; scripts are still being written, and all pre-comic launch procedures are still intact and running.

New post system, stories and events

Hello. We apologize for our prolonged absence, but many discussion and planning has lead us to change the way we do things.

We decided to do our updates in the last wednesday of every months, starting with this one.
The reason we choose to do this is the simple fact that we have an entire month between each update, therefore enabling us to create much more material to show you and keep the project interesting.

Regarding stories, we finally possess a defined collection: it is called The One Hundred, and it includes five stories:
 - Story of a Healer: the lead character is James Kendrick and lives in the near future, since his story starts in the decade of 2040;
 - Tales of Novanta: the main character is Mariaadoc Phiplek, and she lives in a semi-medieval world, with technology and magic acting in symbioses;
 - Edro's Legends: living in a galaxy torn apart due to war and where technology is advanced, Rick, young and inexperienced, sees himself forced to take sides in this war;
 - Life of a Mârlund: an Orc born in a simple tribe, sees his role in the world become far more important than he could even imagine;
 - Lord of Henval: an elf born in an enormous and powerful kingdom ruled be her kin, sees herself facing change by confronting a milennia old social stereotype;

We won't reveal any more details at the moment. We like to keep suspense.

In the title we have the word events. We are planning to do several events where visitors will have a chance to read the script and perform. We also want to film these events for biographical reasons.

We are back!

Acquiring a more serious tone, we have been around all this time. We simply avoided placing updates on our blog since the material could become repetitive, but here we are, with fresh material, and prepared to be snitches about it.

Apart from the well known writing of Story of a Healer and Edro's Legends, a lot of other things were made these last few weeks.

Let's start with Novantirium. One of the languages we promissed we would create is already in development and has a strong foundation. To explain, we used English as a basis, since this language is one of the most simple ones anyone can work with. We still want to wait a while longer until it becomes a language you can really learn.

Next topic: narrative. Story of a Healer was written in script form since it began as a roleplay, therefore we are busy transforming it into a narrative as script sections are polished and defnitive, since reviewing the writings makes us find bits in the story we can change to make the experience more enjoyable.

Tales of Novanta already has a defined base, and will be written as soon as possible. It will connect itself once in a while with Story of a Healer at first, and a little bit more in the future, as if it was a different vision on the same event.

To finish it all up, we are creating a manual on the rituals needed for a person to become a Bender in any four elements, something which will make an appearance in our stories in various ways. A small spoiler to keep curiosity in the air. (Yes, by bending, we mean the kind of things you see in Avatar - The Last Airbender show)

Comic vs Narrative

Hello, today we are going to make another update on the Tales of Immortality project.

To make things easy, today we expect a message shorter than usual. The structure for Tales of Novanta is defined, Story of a Healer, specifically the second chapter is being written, and the author of Edro's Legends has decided to go into isolation. There are no details to be shared.

Curiosity facts: a need for native languages in the universes of the stories led us to the development of one for the Novanta universe, and it is being written. The logo of the first project is being made and we are turning the first chapter of Story of a Healer into a narrative version.

We do not possess anything else to present at the moment, but we have a question to make: what would you rather see first? The Comic or the Narrative version of the stories?

The overall plan...

Hello! Welcome to another update of the project Tales of Immortality, ToI for short. We don't have much more to say than what follows.

First we decided to reveal that the first part of the story Edro's Legends is currently complete, but no more details shall be revealed by request of the author.

The first chapter of Story of a Healer is currently being turned into a comic and the first page shall be ready in a few days, put comic pages will only be published once we have at least a quarter of the first chapter turned into comic format. The second chapter is being written and already has three parts made.

Tales of Novanta is being re-written, since there were ideas and flaws that didn't fit with the overall plan that all the stories must fit into.

Progress is being positive, and we decided to share the first chapter with you, in other words, give a general idea of what it is.

A mere military scientist is able to discover the cure for a disease that had caused him heavy disturbance for years, helping him come back strong to his work. In the start of this chapter he falls in love for his co-worker of years. He slowly meets her family, finds old friends and when everything seems to be like heaven, he discovers his old enemy, his uncle.

He is inserted in a high rank inside an organization unkown to the public eye which fosters an intense hate for a group of people that even mankind doesn't know of: werewolves, vampires, dog-men, healers, metamorphers, etc.

The meeting with him triggers the scientist to use a tecnology in development and even in secret from the government of Italy, the one he works for. This tecnology is advanced, even far more advanced compared to what mankind possesses at the moment.

The conflit becomes public, the factions grow and after a while the reason of it all and the existance of these strange people is brought to surface.

The conflit lasts for almost four years, and it comes to an end when James Kendrick, the scientist, destroys the core of the enemy faction, forcing himself to suicide due to it. But he returns, for reasons that shall be revealed in the comic or narrative format of the story as soon as these are ready.

Languages and action scenes...

Hello again, let's go straight to the news...

Due to story related reasons we are currently creating a few new languages for our stories. Apart from it we are also focused on expanding the information on our characters: mostly biographies. I am not going further or else I would be doing spoilers. ;)

Besides this, we are presenting an action scene present in the second chapter of Story of a Healer, check it out...

[Immediately the zombies rush at them, and they start bashing heads, making excellent combos. James grabs Robin by his rist and twirls him around, making him kick many zombies, clearing some room as they slowly surrounded and fell on top of them. James then elbows a zombie that was charging at him and sticks the crowbar between the teeth of another, making him then twirl to the other side and fall on top of another pair of zombies. James stores it and starts punching the zombies away, and suddenly crouches as Robin roundhouses a zombie over his head that was getting to close to them. After this, Robin punches as well another zombie, literally destroying his head, and after it another one, making his arm stick through the zombies chest. He then pulls out and grabs the last zombie, killing him with a single headbut.]

This scene was written with the help of a certain Ozzy Osbourne song.
